O3-Module3

The European mobility

Module 3 introduces innovative practices of European collaboration based on the virtual mobility as complement or alternative to the physical mobility.

Mobility and key skills

European "learning" mobility opens up many opportunities for young people and is a powerful and effective way to improve skills:

- Language skills,

- Digital skills

- Professional skills,

- And soft skills : "More than 80% of learners believe that their self-confidence, flexibility, open-mindedness and adaptability have increased during their European mobility."

Virtual mobility: as complement or an alternative to physical mobility

Today, with the development of internet network, and digital tools, virtual mobility is an interesting activity as a complement or an alternative to physical mobility.

It offers all the opportunity to experience European collaboration with people from different cultures, thus enriching their intercultural, linguistic and digital skills, regardless of geographical location, financial or personal situation.

Via virtual mobility, the teacher/trainer naturally innovates in his practices and organizes activities where the apprentice is at the center of a rich social environment, multilingual and multicultural.

At the same time, these experiences enable apprentices to develop knowledge, skills and know-how through exchange, peer sharing, thus making them actors in their own learning.

Methodological tips for preparing a virtual mobility sequence

To build your sequence, several parameters must be taken into account: your partner's data (subjects taught, age and level of their students, etc.), the characteristics of the target audience, the objectives, the skills targeted, etc.

These are the characteristics or constraints identified that will allow you to shape your scenario.
